Darran: "Stallion."
Cream: "Bitch. And don't you forget it."
Natalie: "I'm a woman, thanks." :)

How old are you?
Penny: "'Bout two years."
Mwaiyho: "I've seen three Springs in my lifetime."
Darran: "I... I don't even know anymore. I stopped keeping track. Things got crazy back there."
Cream: "Five."
Natalie: "I just hit thirty! Wow."

What do you think your life expectancy is?
Penny: *thinks* "I hope to live to be fourteen!"
Mwaiyho: "I'll feel lucky to make it to fourteen, yes."
Darran: "Goodness knows. Vicky and Astera tell me some Amitolas can live to be centuries old. Which is... kind of daunting really."
Cream: *dismissively* "How should I know?"
Natalie: "Eesh, is that a morbid question or what? Hm - well, I guess seventy-something, or eighty if I'm lucky."

What's your height?
Penny: *proudly* "19 inches at the shoulder, yes!"
Mwaiyho: "I don't really know."
Darran: "Nor do I."
Cream: "Height?! What are you implying?!"
Natalie: 5'4", I believe.

What is your job?
Penny: "I RUN AROUND AND CHASE THINGS. And bother Wings and amuse Cari and keep Beth company by coming and sitting on her when she's lying down, or poking the backs of her legs with my nose when she's standing up. She gets so excited yelling and jumping, sometimes. She loves knowing I am there. Though currently, I have a new job - being a mum." *beams*
Mwaiyho: "Keeping both my sister and I alive."
Darran: "Caring for Nel. And finding out what it means to be Amitola."
Cream: "Er. It's a secret."
Natalie: "I teach English, Math and Art at Mushroom Grove Elementary."

What is your favorite colour?
Penny: ".....never really thought about it."
Mwaiyho: "Blue, and orange."
Darran: "Peach."
Cream: "Colours? Why would I have a favourite?"
Natalie: "I love all colours that are bright and pretty. They can really liven up a room, or an outfit!"

What's your favorite food?
Penny: "FOOD. Where?!"
Mwaiyho: "I do love frogs. But they're so hard to catch."
Darran: *sighs* "One downside about living as a wild horse is there's no oats out here."
Cream: "I am rather partial to those bacon strips I get sometimes."
Natalie: *giggles* "I have a real sweet tooth, I'm afraid. I love cakes and ice cream, my favourites are the cream and vanilla types. And meringues!"

What's your favorite ice cream flavour?
Penny: O.O "Ice cream has FLAVOURS?" (NB: Beth only lets Penny and Wings have vanilla. xD)
Mwaiyho: "I have no idea what you mean."
Darran: "I'm clueless."
Cream: "I don't eat ice cream. It's cold and drippy, ick."
Natalie: "Cookies 'n cream!" :)

Have you killed anyone?
Penny: *proudly* "There are scores of rabbit ghosts what wish they never met me."
Mwaiyho: "No. Not yet, anyhow."
Darran: *aghast* "No!"
Cream: *sarcastic smirk* "Do you want the real answer to that question?"
Natalie: "Oh dear me, no! Is this some kind of disguised murder suspect interrogation? And if so, then it still doesn't explain the dogs, the horse, or the lynx-thing."

Do you hate anyone?
Penny: *growl* "That poxy bugger what nearly killed me and Wings. I got a score to settle wi' that one."
Mwaiyho: *eyes narrow, teeth show* "The hyksi that killed my sire and dam."
Darran: o.O "Oh no."
Cream: "Wouldn't you like to know."
Natalie: *laughing* "Oh goodness. No, I can't think of anyone I know personally, although sometimes I really do get angry with on the horrible people that bred Mignon. Not that I regret adopting him - he's the best little dog and I wouldn't change him for anything."

Have any secrets?
Penny: o.o "Whass' tha mean?"
Mwaiyho: "Perhaps I do, perhaps I don't."
Darran: "No, but apparently everyone was bent on keeping them from me for a while. I grew up thinking I was just an average pony colt, and suddenly I'm doing things like controlling the sunrise and colouring the sky and apparently my dam knew something like this would happen all along."
Cream: *evil Pomeranian eye* "I'm a canine vigilante for an unnamed organisation. ...Eh, I didn't think you'd believe that anyway."
Natalie: *nervous chuckle* "That's kind of a personal question, isn't it? I mean, the point of secrets is that they're secret, so if I had any, why should I want to tell them suddenly? Anyway, I can't really think of anything I do happen to be keeping secret. I think life is complicated enough already." :)

Do you love anyone?
Penny: C; <33
Mwaiyho: "My sister. Though I'll never tell her that, directly."
Darran: "I care very much for Nel. And I'm rather fond of Vicky, Astera and the foals. Sometimes I miss my dam and the other colts, but it's been years since I've seen hide or hair of them."
Cream: *snorts*
Natalie: "I love my family. And my dogs, Mignon and Fifi!"

What do you do to relax?
Penny: :D "RUN RUN RUN! It's the ONLY way to relax!"
Mwaiyho: "Sleep."
Darran: "Just lie down in the grass and have a good roll."
Cream: "Think."
Natalie: "I like to paint, sculpt, fold origami - just make stuff. It's really fun. Oh, and poking around in shops for clothes and things! Of course, being with my dogs helps a lot."

Now what are you going to do?
Penny: "Go find Beth and poke her to say hi. She'll be so excited to see me, just watch!"
Mwaiyho: "You've got me hungry. I'm going to go hunt for frogs by the brook."
Darran: "I should go look for Nel. I think she's with the others but you never know with her."
Cream: "Why should I tell you? Bye!"
Natalie: "I think I'll take my dogs into the garden for a bit. It's nice out."

I r amused.

But in regards to that "study", three dogs is hardly a big enough sample to find anything conclusive, and 500 different tests are actually not very many. More importantly, any experiment has to be repeatable on different subjects and numbers and still have the exact same result; repeatability. If the experiment isn't repeatable then it's not science. There is no information given on whether the experiment was repeated. So, therefore to the scientific validity of that article I wouldn't trust it at all. It's a nice hypothesis, but it's only that.

	It be amusing. xD I'd actually be really curious to know if that experiment was repeated with dogs of various breed, size and background. But generally what I have heard from various sources - including a show on Animal Planet - is that dogs see the world much like a red/green colourblind person. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Animal planet told me that cows mostly see red and green because grass is important to them. xD But a red green colourblind person doesn't see red or green as ANY colour, they are grey to them. I know becuase when mom taught art, one of the kid's parents was red/green colourblind and I asked. That study says they perceive red and green as yellow. That study also doesn't make a lot of sense to me knowing what colours which rods and cones do or don't percieve. If animal planet says that dogs are red/green colourblind then they can't see red or green as any colour, it's grey, which means that the rods that percieve red and green are not there in a dog's eye or not there at all. Whereby if they see other colours, then that means the blue yellow rods are present and they do pick up colours. So, said study saying that yellow is perceived as green and orange in dogs makes no sense, because green is on a different rod and your brain doesn't fill in random other colours into the gaps; it's not wired that way.

Aparently, because cats hunt at night they have more cones than rods and don't see colours like we do, but they DO see colours. Colour actually stimulates them to play, that's why many cat toys are brightly coloured. Something neon pink that is shaped like a mouse sticks out to a cat and they will want to play with it. Saphie seems to prefer rainbow coloured things, while Sasha likes things one solid colour.

	That's really interesting. Bella doesn't seem to care either way about colour, it's movement that catches her eye - which makes sense to me. and I did look at COL!! eee! I have Nem skin on now. :3 I'm sorry it's taking me so long to get to the things I have to, ack. x.x; But yesss we're so close to done! (Reply to this) (Parent)
