oceans of tears and gales of laughter

Swift W.

confetti on the floor
of the highschool gym
boy meets girl
and girl meets him
takes her hand
and they dance together
she says, "this is our song"
and it's theirs forever

this world seems cruel
at your first glance
look again, it's like a dance
once you've had
a good long gaze
it seems we all star
in our very own plays

this old world is
a merry-go-round
with painted horses
going up and down
oceans of tears, gales of laughter
once in a while someone lives
happily ever after...

-happily ever after,
the spin doctors

Hello and Welcome

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Hello and welcome to The Underbelly.

This is a journal created and updated by J. Burns of Firefly Studios. This journal will contain literature written by myself and could be anything from general short stories and essays to bits of background history of my characters and other things relating to them that does not fit in The Known Realm.

Literature inside could contain adult content including, but not limited to, swearing, innuendo, violence, and adult concepts which may not be suitible for persons under the age of 18. Therefore, this journal has been made friends-only. If adult content does not bother you and you'd like to read it, simply add and you will be added back. However I would like to state that me, the creator J. Burns, is not responsible for any persons reading this that should not be. Ask your parents first, kids.

The phrases "resent that discontent" and "habitual resistor" come from a Skinny Puppy song called "Worlock"; the other lyrics can be found here if you are interested.

Again, this journal is friends-only, but simply add me and I will add you back. If you feel the need to leave me a comment and let me know that you have added me, that is fine too.

I will be making some link-back banners soon for your linking pleasure.
